Local singer-songwriter Lance Hatch has been influenced by traditional folk and country artists such as Johnny Cash and the Kingston Trio, rootsy pop artists Fleetwood Mac and Ryan Adams, and even Top 40 artists Bette Midler and Melissa Manchester. But the most apt comparison might be Chris Isaak, with whom Hatch shares a penchant for smooth, organic-sounding songs with just a pinch of country rhythm.
